On one Saturday, just before February's
eleventh rest, just one hour after
noon, and just after drying
my hands over the kitchen sink,
my irises followed the plasma of the sun

through the thinly veiled cornucopia faded 
patterned cloth and the not-so-sound repellent window
glass—that I swear would shake, crinkle, crac…
