Doomed Fancy
More unexpected snow. Gentle and light this time.
Snowfall descends from an inky marble sky and into the city as it settles into a sensitive hibernation. The horizon holds the same deep violet a monster squid shoots through the ocean in every fictional deep sea exploration montage. A soft flurry of frozen fallen stars prance along to Winter's late impulses. A change of tactics. Switching vinegar to honey. Just for a brief discovery. If I were to venture out. Welcome contact beyond all boundaries. My warmth melting each crystal. Frost snuffing out my fire. We'd chip away at each other until the 'who' becomes two strangers that master the act of pretending once it's all over.

I love how you refer to the snowflakes as, "Frozen fallen stars." Very creative!
