When the Rain Visits

An old poem from 2012. Found this dusting off old files on the computer. I can't remember the context of this at all. Only revisions made are grammar and enjambment placements.

The rain came and visited today.
I was away so I missed it.
The rain missed me also,
so away the rain went.
I went out to see the rain
but the rain was long gone 
and departed. So away I went.
To seek the departed rain. 
To look for the places touched 
by its tears anywhere on earth.
Everything has been made damp.
